Pulli Bin

Pulli, a home goods startup, had it in mind to redefine a chore that all of us partake in: taking out the trash. Witnessing the struggles of his family members, the founder developed a concept to alleviate the most cumbersome part of the process, and contracted End Effect to help bring it to life.

We began by diving into Pulli’s prototype history, current concept, and the trash can market at large, to get a sense of trends and design elements on the higher end of the product space. From there, we began working through the structural design and mechanisms required to enable the desired functionality while maintaining the aesthetics. Several prototypes and representative test samples were built to evaluate the mechanisms, sizing for various standard trash bags, bag retention, spills, and everything in between. With these details verified and the concept finalized, Pulli began sourcing manufacturers, with End Effect providing ongoing engineering insight and support through the final detailing and manufacturing process.

The Pulli Bin has since gone on to raise over $200,000 on Kickstarter, making it the most funded project on the platform in its product space. It has also been selected for the 2025 Best of the Best Red Dot design award and the 2025 Good Design award.

The first Pulli Bins are scheduled for delivery in late 2025.
